Description
After a beautiful walk we reach Syki. There is the Holy Monastery of Timios Prodromos. It was built in 1795 by the well-known Epirus craftsman, the Municipality of Zoupaniotis, at the expense of Captain Stergios Basdekis. The monastery, along with the village, was set on fire by the Turks in 1823 but was renovated in 1840 and today it functions as a female monastery. In the monastery there is a remarkable iconostasis and frescoes. After your tour, a swim in the crystal clear waters of Potoki beach next to Syki will relax and cool you.
