Description

It is the capital of the prefecture, built in the middle of the Pagasitic Gulf and at the foothills of Pelion. It is one of the most important ports of Greece as well as a major industrial center.

Passenger ships and excursion boats can take you to the islands of Northern Sporades and nearby beaches for a one-day getaway. It is also within walking distance of the picturesque villages of Pelion.

Volos has an intense artistic and spiritual life. There are many museums and attractions in the area. It is also worth visiting the city's tsipourodika where you can enjoy the famous tsipouro, accompanied by excellent seafood snacks.

It has many hotels, lively nightlife, cafes and restaurants. Volos is a great destination at any time if you visit it.

 The Agricultural Cooperative is one of the oldest co-operatives, since it was established in 1916 by 199 people of Zagora of Magnesia. In 1985, the cooperative enters a new phase of action of organised commercial enterprise. The brand is enshrined and every authentic Zagorin apple bears the sticker which makes it stand out.
